The Casino Road community is unique because of the incredible connections of care that exist between the neighbors who call this area home.
Our Programs
In our Casino Road community, families feel important, valued, and listened to. We are physically, mentally and emotionally healthy. We experience joy every day. We are empowered to advocate for what we need, what we desire and what we dream of. Families choose to live here to transform their own lives and to become agents of change. All of us feel interconnected, supported and like we belong, regardless of race, age, gender, language, culture or ability.
Our Community

Neighbors and organizations have been working hard to support this community long before Connect Casino Road came into existence. Schools, churches, nonprofits, businesses, and volunteers all work together to cultivate the many strengths of this community.
In fact, it was the combination of the high needs in this community and the high level of engagement among local families and organizations that first inspired Connect Casino Road.

Half of all residents are non-White
Why do we focus on Casino Road?
Casino Road lacks the obvious signs of investment present in more affluent parts of Everett. This neighborhood has been marginalized and neglected for decades – meaning the young families who live here face multiple systemic challenges to their wellbeing:
Income
The overall poverty rate reaches 20% in parts of Casino Road – but is substantially higher for children and youth
Language
Nearly 40% of households speak limited English
Housing
No permanently affordable housing exists in Casino Road despite displacement threats, and many complexes that are naturally affordable offer poor living conditions
Transportation
Around 10% of families don’t own a car
Education and employment
Overlapping barriers – from legal status to lack of affordable childcare – prevent many hardworking families from earning a living wage
